I keep trying to keep up with this blog, but sometimes other things get in the way. I've been very busy working on Christmas gifts & some ATC swaps. And of course my altered journal. Today I'm going to post some things I've done related to Halloween. These are ATCs I made for a Halloween Swap. Some scans didn't turn out too well as the buttons on them didn't let it lay flat. I was in two groups so I sent out 6. They were lots of fun to do & I ended up with extras. I kept the first 3 and sent out the rest...
I've also done 2 pages for my altered journal. I'd been seeing a lot of squirrels around for a couple of weeks. I finally took a picture, but I haven't seen hardly any since I took the photo. It wasn't very good, but I changed it in my photo program. I think it makes a great ghost squirrel.
Both of these pages started with scrapbook paper and then I added the details. This second page has rub-ons, a cut out skeleton, a dimensional raven sticker and some shimmer chalk to add depth to the sky & a little shine.

Rain
It's been a little while since I last posted. I haven't seemed to have any good ideas lately as things have been a little stressful. I'm starting to feel more relaxed now and the ideas seem to be coming back. I've missed a couple weeks of working in my journal as there was a lot going on here.
This page is for a Rain & Feelings theme. We each picked random words from a list and made our pages from them. The words/picture come from a greeting card I tore up. I changed some of the color with pencils. The background is chalked and the swirly areas are rub-ons. It originally was going to be a happier page as I like rain, but as mentioned before I've been a little stressed lately. I found this card as I was looking for cards to send with photos for friends. I have quite a few greeting cards stashed away so I'm sure some of them will show up later. It made me think of the theme right away so here it is...

Follow your dreams (Updated)
It got printed on the centerfold in ATC Quarterly! Here's an ATC (artist trading card) I made for ATC Quarterly's fall challenge, Autumn Leaves. I did this one at the last minute, I was drawing a complete blank on leaves. It has 4 layers of paper plus the leaf layers. The leaves were made with leaf punchies that I used color pencils and smaller leaf punchies to decorate.

Mythology
This is my newest page in my book. The theme was mythology. All but the sun were rubber stamped on separate pieces of paper & cut out. Then they were glued to the page. The color was then filled in with chalk, ink and glitter. In case you notice (no one else seemed to), yes I know the word view is spelled wrong, but I've decided not to fix it. Why not have a mistake on a page about mistakes?

Moleskin Art Journal
Welcome!
Welcome to my blog. I’ve had this space ready to go for months now, but I haven’t been ready to post anything until today. I’m not sure where this is going to go, but it’s about my art. I do mostly art journaling and artist trading cards so hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot of these in the future. I don’t write a lot on my journal pages so you won’t see much about the day to day things in my life. Right now I am working in two books for 2 different groups. I go to a monthly visual journaling group and I post with an on line group. Also, I like to take lots of photographs so you may see some of these from time to time. And don't forget my ATCs. I’m going to start with posting some of my favorite pieces and see where we go from there.
